--Which type of class??   The Standard Hot class and the Vinyasa flow classes are both designed for beginners as well as those who have been coming for a long time.   Both classes are done in the heat and beginners can come to either class.   The classes are energizing and invigorating, just be patient with your body and rest as needed.   The first several classes can be fairly challenging, but once you get use to the heat you will be pleasantly surprised at how the classes will change your body and mind.   We recommend trying both classes fairly early in your practicing at the studio.  For best results you should try to include both types of yoga in your practice schedule.

--When should I take my first class:   It is best to try your first class at one of our less busy times.  During fall and winter our 6&8PM evening classes M-Thurs are busy.  The less busy classes are any of the daytime classes during the week (including 4:30), Friday evenings 6:00 and 8PM and any Sat/Sun class (except 8AM Sat & 10AM Sa/Su),

--Classes are 90 minutes, with the exception of the 4:30 wkdy classes, 8PM Fri class and 6:30 AM classes which are 65 mins.

--Bring a LARGE TOWEL, yoga mat, and water (or we also rent mats for $1.00 and sell water at the studio).

--During class:  Rest as much as you need to.  Just lie down on your mat.  Feel free to drink water in class (after your warm-up).  Please try to stay in the yoga room to help your body acclimate to the heat.  If you need to leave the yoga room for any reason let the instructor know prior to leaving.

--Is hot yoga for everyone?   If you take your time and rest a bit during the first few classes, your body will acclimate to the heat.  We do not recommend Hot Yoga if you are pregnant or if you have any kind of medical conditions, like high blood pressure, where exercising in the heat and high humidity would not be recommended.  As always, it is important to speak to your physician prior to undertaking a new exercise program to make sure you do not have any underlying medical reasons that would restrict you from taking part in a heated class.

--Where to park:  We have access to a large lot behind the studio.  You can park in that lot (or in the front lot facing the street).  Do not park in front of the stores or restaurants or anywhere where their is a 15min parking sign.  Your car may be ticketed and/or towedThere is plenty of parking in the middle of the back lot, or even along the streets.

--Come to class hydrated, drinking plenty of water before class.

--All classes drop-in.  No registration needed.  Come 15 minutes prior to your first class.

--Come prepared to sweat and work hard and have fun!
