INSTRUCTORS

All of the instructors at our studio are kind, loving and accepting of all.  As well they are all trained and certified to specifically teach the Hot Yoga styles of yoga.  They have undertaken many extensive trainings sessions, with masters in the field.   Many have trained with yoga Master Bikram Choudhury at his Intensive 500 hr Hot Yoga training course, others have trained with Hot Vinyasa Flow creator, Baron Baptiste (or both).    As well as being trained in the hot yoga styles some of our instructors have also undertaken other training programs (ie traditional hatha yoga intensives in India) bringing a broad range of experience and knowledge to our studio.   Our instructors are dedicated teaches, teaching and practicing at the studio..... because they LOVE the yoga, LOVE to practice at the studio and LOVE sharing the yoga with others....

All of us at the studio are passionate about building a community within the studio where everyone feels welcome and accepted.  Our studio is a place where people come for yoga, but at a deeper level to possibly change many things in their lives.  We believe that hot yoga can heal and transform the body as well as bring us to a  place where we feel more calm, grounded and happy.  Calm, happy people are more kind and loving thus having an immediate and positive impact on others, making the world a more loving and beautiful place.

Please come on in anytime to try a class.  We look forward to seeing you soon.

Studio Owner: Kim McMullen, is a mom of twin girls, who is passionate about helping others pursue meaningful lives and businesses.   After working many years in the high tech industry, she made a huge change and decided to live her dream of creating a more fulfilling and simpler life.  In 1997 she up and moved her family to beautiful Bragg Creek, Alberta.

She studied directly with Bikram Chourdury (the original Hot yoga Master...)completing his in house 2 1/2 month course in 2001.  In January of she 2002 opened the first Hot Yoga studio in Calgary.   After practicing and researching many other styles of hot yoga she undertook additional trainings including hot Vinyasa Flow training with Baron Baptiste, completing his teacher training course.  She has stayed dedicated to her plan of having only one studio (despite the pleas for a deep south location!) in order to be present and actively involved in the studio.  From teaching, to selecting the best teachers for the studio, to training them on an ongoing basis, and just enjoying hanging around the teachers and students.   The studio has become very busy, but the goal remains to create that "family" atmosphere for all.
